- The minimum age to drive a car is 15 years old for mopeds and quads, 16 years old for motorcycles up to 125 cc and 18 years old for general license. The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years old.

- Spain does have a national law requiring the use of helmets when on motorcycle or scooter. This applies to both driver’s and passengers. Child passengers under the age of 7/12 are not allowed.

- The maximum driving speed is 50 km/h (31 miles/hour) in urban areas and 90 km/h (55 miles/hour) in rural areas.
